The Kidsbridge mission is to provide young people with a foundation to grow as empathetic individuals who become positive advocates for themselves and others, empowering them to challenge racism, bias, bullying, and other forms of discrimination.
Kidsbridge’s mission inspires programs in which students actively:
- Identify and understand their own and others’ emotions
- Strengthen their sense of identity and self-compassion
- Practice stress management and mindfulness
- Prevent bullying and cyberbullying
- Appreciate diversity in cultures, identities, races, and beliefs (anti-bias, anti-racism)
- Problem-solve conflict situations
- Become a change agent i.e., Upstanders in their school and community.
- Inculcate empathy and empowerment strategies
- Adapt improved social-emotional skills and strategies i.e., SEL
Kidsbridge also:
- Inspires adults to incorporate DEI in their classrooms, corporations and homes
- Encourages adults to engender empathy and empathic action in their homes and communities
