Kidsbridge is calling all creative kids! Read all about the Allison Vandal UPstander Challenge!

Allison VandalSomething new. Something fun. Something that offers a wonderful opportunity for students to creatively express themselves and share their visions.

Educators, have we peaked your interest? Continue reading all about this unique challenge for your students.

Kidsbridge invites youth in grades 3-8 in New Jersey to participate in the First Annual Allison Vandal UPstander Challenge. To honor the memory of Allison Vandal, a very creative and giving teen who left us far too soon, this challenge is meant to encourage youth to be creative and giving as well.

2018 Theme:  HELPING HANDS*
Art Forms:  Poetry and Visual Arts
Deadline:  May 31, 2018

Just as Allison inspired and helped others, youth are encouraged to share what inspires them — expressing themselves on the theme of Helping Hands. How can kids:
… Help others?
… Stand up for those who need support?
… Curtail bullying and being mean?
… Be inclusive rather than exclusive?
… Encourage empathy and kindness?
… Go from being bystanders to becoming UPstanders?

Top selections will be featured in a compilation website used to inspire others. Go to: www.kidsbridgeally.org to learn more — and to submit your entry!

* Note that each year will have a different theme, and in future seasons, entries in other art forms will be sought.
