We tried to remain calm when we heard….

I received a phone call a few months ago. It was a lovely woman named Amanda Feinstein . She runs the teacher training certification program at Younique Yoga. As she explained, at the end of each training program, the new teachers teach a donation yoga class to benefit a charity that resonates with them. Amanda was doing her due diligence, and wanted to find out more about what we do. We spoke for quite a while, as I explained about Kidsbridge, our mission, and the different programs we offer. Bullying prevention, diversity appreciation and respect for all top the list. Amanda was impressed that we offered a mindfulness/calming session as well.

Flash forward several weeks. The group voted, and they decided to suport Kidsbridge! Amanda indicated that the group felt connected to anti-bullying, and were thrilled to support our local organization.

Younique Yoga hosted the class at the Asbury Hotel in Asbury Park. The group raised $700! Said Amanda, “We were so happy to be able to donate the donations from our Karma Class to Kidsbridge.  We knew right away that we wanted to support an anti-bullying organization and after learning more about Kidsbridge, we knew it was perfect!  We are so thankful for all the resources that Kidsbridge offers to children in our NJ school systems.  What a gift!”

What a gift indeed! The totally unexpected kind can sometimes be the best!

Younique Yoga has locations in Allenhurst, Belmar and Highlands. Amanda Feinstein is the manager of all three studios and runs the teacher training program. Thank you, Amanda, and the rest of the group for your support — and for all that you do as well!
